Snooze and Joey picked me up from Oro Valley yesterday. I was so happy to see Joey, Snooze's grandson, who's grown like crazy in the two years since I last saw him. Joey said the porch where we were staying looked like a soccer field (due to the astroturf). We played Crazy Eights, Go Fish, Chutes and Ladders, CandyLand and an improvised air hockey sort of game in which I felt lucky to come away with my vision intact. What a delightful boy Joey is!! So engaging and full of fun and surprises.

At night, we decided to give the new wine bar, Bear Claw, a try. The wine is made from grapes grown in New Mexico of imported vines from Italy and Spain. It tasted young and thin. We moved on to Jax for dinner and enjoyed the Arctic Char special. I snapped a photo of this sign posted at Jax and decided it would be the motto for the day. Duckhorn Decoy Sauvignon Blanc was perfect with the fish and tasted crisp and delicious.
